OpiPets is a free-to-play, Play-&-Earn economy-based, pet battling game that rewards players with cryptocurrency and the ability to create, battle, collect or sell their unique OpiPet NFTs. We emphasise gameplay first, then enable the community to participate in player-driven markets and shops that facilitate the sale of in-game items. Players can begin trying to build their wealth by exploring the various avenues to earn our in-game token without spending any money.

OpiPets offers traditional aspects of P2E gaming, such as PvP ranked leaderboards, mini-games, NFT minting, cryptocurrency as in-game points, and breeding mechanics. In addition, we have developed unique features and benefits designed to improve the play-and-earn experience for our community.

NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens)

Non-Fungible Tokens, or NFTs for short, are digital tokens that offer unique ownership of digital assets. NFTs can range, from video files, music MP3s or digital artwork like a photograph or an illustration, to name a few examples. NFTs are unique assets that are tokenised on a Blockchain. Hence, their uniqueness, current ownership and entire sales history can be viewed and verified by anyone.

OpiPets is taking a fresh approach to NFTs. Characters in-game will begin as standard in-game characters. Then, players will progress through the game and level up their characters and the addition of items and traits give their pets special abilities. Finally, once the player is ready to battle with other players, they will mint their character as a unique one-of-a-kind NFT that can never be minted again with the same cosmetic and ability traits.

Should players wish to upgrade their character/NFT further, they must first burn their current character (send that NFT to an inaccessible wallet address). This will enable them to update the character and then re-mint a new version of their OpiPet NFT Character with unique traits and abilities.
